SALVATION TESTIMONIES
Hi, I’m Jordan! I was blessed to grow up in a third-generation missionary family that loves the Lord. At six, after Sunday School, I asked my mom how to be saved. She took me aside and explained that I needed to pray, confess my sins, believe Jesus died for me, and surrender my life to Him. That day, I accepted Christ, and ever since, I’ve been striving to follow His path and serve Him faithfully.
Hi, I’m Laura! I was raised in a family that loves the Lord. At seven, I remember hearing the gospel and understanding that I was a sinner in need of God’s grace through Jesus’ death and resurrection. My parents and a woman who served at our church walked me through the plan of salvation, and I asked Jesus to save me. Since then, I have been walking with Jesus and growing as His disciple.
HOW WE MET
In our teen years, we each surrendered to full-time missions—Jordan at a youth camp and Laura on a mission trip—and both felt called by the Lord to be trained at seminary. We didn’t know each other at the time, but we both enrolled at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in the fall of 2020, trusting God’s plan for our lives. A year into our studies, we met through connections and mutual friends. Jordan’s sister-in-law, Heidi, was Laura’s supervisor at work on the seminary campus, and she, along with several mutual friends, introduced us. As we got to know each other, we quickly realized how aligned our callings and passions were. In May of 2023, we both graduated with Master of Divinity degrees and were married two weeks later, excited to step into ministry together.
OUR TRAINING
After finishing our time in seminary, we knew we needed hands-on ministry experience as a couple. After months of prayer and seeking the Lord’s will, God led us to CrossPoint Church in Huntington Beach, California, to serve as Missionary Interns. During this time, we had the opportunity to start a Spanish ministry called CrossPoint en Español, reaching the local Spanish-speaking community. This incredible experience taught us how to start a ministry together and serve the Lord in new ways. Along with launching the Spanish ministry, we also shadowed church staff to learn how to run healthy ministries. CrossPoint Church is our sending church, and their support has been invaluable as we embark on this new journey.
WHERE WE ARE GOING
We have had a burden on our hearts to reach people in Latin America with the gospel since we both surrendered to full-time missions in our teen years. As God brought us together in our early twenties, our burden to reach the lost has only continued to grow, and we know God is leading us to Argentina.
In February 2025, we had the opportunity to go on a survey trip to Argentina, and God used our time there to confirm the deep need for church planting in this part of the world. There are numerous cities without gospel-centered churches, and countless people have never heard a clear presentation of the gospel. We pray that God will encourage others to partner with us as we endeavor to go and reach Argentina with the Good News of the gospel.
